If you do not follow the hygiene rules, there is a risk of danger in the Eid journey

Disaster may occur if strict hygiene rules are not followed in this Eid journey. Although the infection was less last year for Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha, this time the fear has been created due to the spread of Delta variant. Meanwhile, the infection rate in Chittagong has broken all previous records in the last few days. In the last 72 hours, 2,069 new corona have been identified and 29 have died.

Meanwhile, the government imposed a strict lockdown across the country from July 1 to prevent the transmission of delta variants in the country. Later, as the infection continued to increase, it was extended for another week. The government is relaxing. At this time, there is a concern about how much the common people will obey the strict rules of hygiene, but if they do not follow the strict rules of hygiene, experts believe that disasters can happen.

In the meantime, due to the increase in corona infection in Chittagong, the government and private hospitals are getting speed to provide ICU and medical services. Lack of adequate ICU, oxygen crisis and adequate manpower crisis have been created in all the hospitals. Due to lack of adequate manpower, Chittagong Medical College Hospital, the largest government hospital in Chittagong, has been declared closed except for emergency patients and all types of surgery.

Relaxing the lockdown has increased the risk of infection, said the spokesperson of the Department of Health, Line Director Prof. Robed Amin. He said, “If the hygiene is not followed properly in the public transport, shopping malls and sacrificial animal markets launched on the occasion of Eid, there will be no chance of reducing the level of infection.”He warned the people that the rate of coronavirus infection in the country is 30 percent and if the use of masks in the sacrificial animal market is not 100 percent, the level of infection cannot be reduced even by trying hard. Therefore, we also request the law enforcement agencies to strictly follow the hygiene rules.

Civil Surgeon Dr. Sheikh Fazle Rabbi told Chittagong News, “Even though the government has relaxed the strict lockdown in pursuit of livelihood, the people have to abide by strict hygiene rules.” The manpower or infrastructural condition of the hospitals in Chittagong makes it difficult to ensure the medical care of such a large number of patients.Even then, everyone is working to ensure medical services in government hospitals. If everyone is not aware of the Eid journey, the infection will increase. He also expressed fears that this would create a new catastrophe.
